Shots fired locks down Washington

The Madera Police Department dispatch center received a call of shots fired near Washington Elementary School, which caused the school to lock down.
An Hispanic adult male was located near D Street and South Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Wednesday at about 3:15 p.m.
The shooting was near Washington Elementary School and MPD School Resource officers arrived within minutes to lock down the school for the safety of the students.
