The Madera Coyote softball team honors its seniors after Tuesday’s 10-inning walk-off victory over the Sanger Apaches. From left are Coach Judy Shaubach, Brilynn Santiago, Destinee Avila, Emily Erwin, Kylie Powell, Malea Ricks and Coach Melissa Armiento.

In an old-fashioned pitcher’s dual, the Madera Coyotes and Sanger Apaches softball teams combined for just three runs while the Coyotes walked off a 2-1 victory at Zimmerman’s Field on Senior Night.

The Coyotes sent five seniors — Malea Ricks, Destinee Avila, Brilynn Santiago, Kylie Powell and Emily Erwin — off with a victory in the bottom of the 10th inning Tuesday on Senior Night.

Ricks and Santiago played big parts in the win, scoring runs with Santiago scoring the game-winner.
