Torres running back Angelo Adame runs past Madera South’s John Ledesma during one of his five touchdown runs in Thursday’s victory over Madera South.

After following in the footsteps of Matilda Torres running backs Joseph Bass and Amani Sua, Angelo Adame did something neither of them accomplished — rushing for more than 300 yards in a game.

Adame had a stat line to remember in Thursday’s 49-16 victory over the Madera South Stallions in the annual Rodeo Bowl. Adame carried 32 times for 324 yards and scored five touchdowns. He averaged 10.1 yards per carry and 15 of his carries went for first downs. He had three rushes of 20 yards or more, and had a long of 78 yards in the win.

As a team, the Toros rushed for 429 yards and gained 522 yards of offense with 28 first downs.
