Remembrance is the sweetest flower

Around the holidays, and particularly at the end of the year, many of us tend to reminisce about times of our youth. Each Christmas tends to be much of the same, and yet each year has its unique memories.
My parents had a framed cross-stitch, which I now have in my home. It was always hanging on the wall of their bedroom. I don’t know where they got it, but it is very special to me, not only because it hung in their room, but because of the saying, “Remembrance is the sweetest flower that in a garden grows.”
Remembering loved ones and times of joy is indeed like smelling a sweet flower. I recall some very special times with my family, when we laughed over things nobody else would understand. There was a special bond among us, and the three children in my family grew up knowing a God who loves us and two parents who reflected that love. I am so grateful to have been raised in such a family.
