Proclamations for recognition at supes meeting

The Madera County Board of Supervisors recognized several individuals and gave a proclamation recognizing National Nurse’s Week during its regularly scheduled meeting, and a new proposed ordinance is receiving some opposition from residents and business owners in eastern Madera County.
May 6–12 was recognized by the Supervisors as National Nurse’s Week, recognizing the contribution of nursing to healthcare and society as a whole. Deputy Director of Clinical and Nursing Services of Public Health for Madera County, Madeline Keller, was present to receive the proclamation.
County Supervisors honored Corporal Johnathan Rodriguez of the Madera County Sheriff’s Department and Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Cabrera, as well as Madeline Townsend, creator of My Closet Box.
