Opinion: Life is like a game show

Television game shows are quite popular in America. Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right consistently bring high ratings. High ratings equate to big bucks for Sony Pictures, which owns a lot of the game shows staged in this country.

The most popular game show, Jeopardy, is a take-off on a quiz show format. But, instead of asking questions, the host gives the contestants the answers and they in turn must ask the question. What or Who is a mandatory part of the information necessary to win the dollar amount for each question?

On the Jeopardy! Tournament amounts are marked off in one or two-hundred-dollar increments, depending on if they are playing regular or Double Jeopardy!
