Old Timers’ Day to celebrate museum 50th anniversary

“Preserving Our Past” Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The Madera County Museum, is a compilation of historical facts and events, and was written by authors, from left, Sheryl Berry, president of Madera County Historical Society, Karen Elmore, Historical Society Curator, and Dennis Hart, Researcher for Madera County Historical Society.

 

The day of the 2024 Old Timers’ Day Parade and celebration is a very significant day for Madera.


It will also mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Madera County Museum, located in the old Madera County Courthouse 210 West Yosemite Avenue.


The Madera County Museum opened on Old Timers’ Day, Saturday, Sept. 28, 1974.
