Madera Police Officers responded to the 700 block of N. Granada Dr., regarding an assault with a deadly weapon Friday night at 10 p.m.

Officers arrived on scene, and found a 28-year-old male victim who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm while sitting in a vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing, and while it is uncertain at this time, we do believe the motive to be gang related.
