For The Madera Tribune

Louis D. Cavalletto II.

“It is with heavy hearts we announce that on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, Nick Cavalletto aka Louis D. Cavalletto II, a loving friend and father of four children, 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, passed away. Nick was born on July 23rd, 1938, in Goleta, CA, to Louis D. Cavalletto I and Pauline Cavalletto.

Nick graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Cal Poly in Farm Management on June 11, 1960. Nick followed his passion of farm management and development for 61 years in Madera County and Santa Barbara Counties.

Nick loved the four major F’s: Farming, Fishing, Family, and Friends. He enjoyed his time spent with friends eating at Madera’s DiCicco’s and visiting his cherished mountain home in North Fork.

Nick was preceded in death by his son, Louie D Cavalletto III. Nick is survived by his three children Teri Cavalletto, Katy Cavalletto-Wallen, and Mindy Cavalletto, his sister Betty-Ann Denier from Goleta CA and his brother Donald Cavalletto from Paso Robles CA, his many nieces and nephews, his much-loved employees, Tommy the kitten, as well as his beloved dog, Chica. We will all miss his contagious laughter, beautiful big smile, his kind brown eyes, his silly pranks, and his stories. We will always hold him close in our hearts, until we meet again.

His family asks that if you are so moved, to please make a donation to Valley Children’s Hospital in Fresno, CA.”
