Message from Sheriff
Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue addresses traffic safety after the past two weeks of collisions in Madera County.
“Over the past few weeks, we’ve indeed observed a noticeable increase in traffic accidents,” Pogue said. “While we don’t have the data to determine the exact causes as that’s the purview of the Police Department and the Highway Patrol, we believe that heightened awareness and vigilance on the roads are crucial at this time.
“The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensuring the safety of all residents and visitors. We urge drivers to stay alert, follow all traffic laws, and avoid distractions while behind the wheel. As always, our deputies are actively patrolling and ready to assist in any situation. Together, we can help reduce these incidents and keep our roads safe for everyone.”
