The Madera County Sheriff’s Office hosted its semi-annual Swearing-in, Promotions and Awards Ceremony last week at Matilda Torres High School.

Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue hosted 28 new or promoted deputies in the event July 15.

“I love seeing the faces of the families,” Pogue said. “Seeing the beaming smiles and the overflowing pride and love reminds me each time why we are here. Having the opportunity to meet the families and celebrate the well-earned accomplishments is both humbling and reenergizing.”
