Madera library gears up for robotics challenge

The Madera main library will be hosting the annual First Lego League Explore and Challenge meetings that began last week.

Intended to ignite children’s interest in robotics, the league exposes children to the application of robotic systems and operations using everyone’s favorite childhood building blocks, Legos.

The League, now in its third year, is hosted by the Madera Library and is divided into two groups by age: the League Challenge, open to children ages 9-14, and for children ages 6-10. The league also offers an Explore category.
