Madera County holds fifth Battle of the Books

Bookshelf Bandits from Dairyland Elementary School won the fifth annual Battle of the Books 3rd-4th grade competition in Madera County. 

The sunNerds from Stone Creek Elementary School was named champion of the Battle of the Books 5th-6th grade competition and the Sherlock Homies from North Fork Elementary School won the inaugural 7th-8th grade competition. 

The top three teams battled it out in a winner-take-all Chapter Championship. A Handful of Books from Spring Valley Elementary came in second place in the overall 3rd-4th grade competition, and The Reading Crew from Liberty Charter School placed third.
