Madera South’s Brendan Gustafson reaches out for an RBI single in the third inning of Wednesday’s 8-2 loss to McLane.

The Madera South Stallions seemed to be rolling through the first part of Wednesday’s North Yosemite League game with the McLane Highlanders at Eddie Chapa Field.

Starting pitcher Victor Palomino threw three perfect innings and the Stallions took a 2-0 lead into the fourth.

However, McLane got to Palomino in the fourth and took advantage of miscues that led to four unearned runs in an 8-2 victory.
