Liberty’s London Patton rises up for a kill attempt during Tuesday’s five-set victory over Kerman. Patton recorded a team-high 12 kills to go with eight digs and two aces.
The Liberty Hawks girls volleyball team had to rally from a 2-1 deficit to win the final three sets and record a 3-2 set victory over former league rivals at Liberty.
The Hawks won the fourth set, 25-22, before closing out the Kerman Lions with a 15-9 win in the fifth set Tuesday. Overall, Liberty outscored the Lions 110-100.
In a rare pretty clean match from the service line, the Hawks did just enough. Both teams recorded 14 aces. However, the Hawks missed only five serves and the Lions missed eight.
