Fitness trainer Francela Campos, with her business Frenchie Fit, has a love for fitness and is doing what she can to help other achieve their fitness goals.

With October being recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness month, Campos wants to do even more.

She is hosting a Zumba Party in Pink fundraiser on Oct. 22 at TEC Gymnastics (528 Noble St.) and all the proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Foundation.

“We want to give back to the community and the members that are suffering from breast cancer,” she said. “We love to work out. That’s a way to burn a lot of fun calories and help those people in need.”

Campos is a trainer by trade and helps out individuals at TEC.

“I do Zumba, step classes and others,” Campos said. “This is to have a fun event and help other people.”

Pre-sale tickets are $10 and Campos is hoping to sell more than 100 tickets.

“We started selling this week,” she said. “We’re giving it about two weeks sell the tickets. There will also be some vendors at the event to help promote their business. Everything will be donated.”

Campos is an inspirational story herself. She has lost 130 pounds and is trying to help other people.

“A lot of people find me inspiring because God gave this love for this passion,” she said. “Now, I’m helping people to get better themselves, not just physically, but also mentally.”
