Fatality on SR-41

California Highway Patrol Madera Area officers responded to a three vehicle traffic crash Friday night at about 7 p.m. on State Route 41 just south of Children’s Boulevard.

Preliminary investigation indicates an 83-year-old male from Madera was driving a 2002 Honda Accord on SR-41 northbound, south of Children’s Boulevard in the No. 1 lane. At the same time, a 50-year-old female from Fresno, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe in the No. 1 lane, directly ahead of the Honda.

A 47-year-old male from Madera was driving a 2007 GMC Canyon in the No. 1 lane, ahead of the Chevrolet.
