The MadTown Robotics team arrives at Fresno Yosemite International Airport to a huge welcome from family and friends after winning a fourth World Championship over the weekend.
FRESNO — The MadTown Robotics team arrived home Sunday night at Fresno Yosemite International Airport to a heroes’ welcome after claiming its fourth FRC World Championship earlier in the weekend.
“It feels very heartwarming,” said team captain Miguel Angel Vargas. “Seeing all these families being here and the community, it felt very heartwarming.”
Although the MadTown Robotics team was the most dominant team heading into the finals, there were some hiccups along with way with their partners HighTide (Ventura County), Nerds of Prey (Lake Minneola High School, Florida) and The Holy Cows (High Tech High School, San Diego) of Team Daly.
