The Madera Coyotes and Madera South Stallion football teams suffered tough losses Friday night.
The Coyotes fell to the Merced Bears, 43-34, in Merced in the annual Governor’s Hat game, and had to relinquish the Hat this year.
The Stallions found some momentum, but had trouble maintaining it with seven turnovers in a 51-20 loss to the Hoover Patriots at Madera South.
