Madera’s Mia Carlson rises up to put down one of her match-high 11 kills in Thursday’s rivalry victory over Madera South in four sets in Joe Flores Gym.
Despite a second set loss, the Madera Coyotes girls volleyball team did enough for a four-set victory over the Madera South Stallions in Joe Flores Gym.
The Stallions took the second set, 25-21. However, in the other three sets, Madera outscored Madera South, 75-46.
Both teams were hurt by the serve, either receiving or serving, but Madera had the least trouble of the teams. Madera served up 21 aces and missed 14 serves. Meanwhile, Madera South missed 17 serves and had nine aces.
