During its regular meeting, the Madera City Council recognized this year’s Old Timer royalty.
A public hearing for the City’s 2024/25 Community Block Grant (CBDG) Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) and financial summary, subsequently receiving approval by the council, was also discussed at the September 17 meeting.
As Madera celebrates Old Timer’s Day today, the residents also gear up for its long held traditional Old Timer’s Parade. Every year the parade makes its way through downtown, showcasing floats, fire trucks, bands, and an array of other exciting entries. The parade culminates at the historical Courthouse Park with an event featuring booths from community businesses, food vendors and entertainment.
