The City of Madera City Council issued a proclamation recognizing March as Red Cross Month to honor neighbors who deliver care and comfort through the American Red Cross Central Valley Chapter.
“As a community, we hope never to need it, but when the need is there, we are always thankful for the services they provide,” said Mayor Pro Tem Rohi Zacharia on behalf of the entire City Council at last week’s meeting. “We celebrate the humanitarian Spirit of the City of Madera and reaffirm our commitment to help ensure no one faces a crisis alone.
During the council meeting, Luis Martinez, on behalf of State Senator Anna Caballero’s office, also “proudly recognizes the American Red Cross during Red Cross Month and honors the organization for its longstanding commitment to humanitarian service to the Central Valley. For generations, the American Red Cross has served as a symbol of compassion, service, and hope.”
