The City of Chowchilla and community members gathered at Veterans Memorial Park on February 7, to dedicate a new time capsule that will open in 2073 during the City’s 150th year of incorporation.

The event was a conclusion to the City’s many Centennial events that were celebrated over the course of 2023.

More than 30 items were put into the time capsule, including letters from City Council members, items transferred from the 2023 time capsule, the City’s centennial celebration, photographs, newspapers, and several local organization memorabilia.
