Big finish leads Toros to win

After staking the McLane Highlanders to a 14-12 lead, the Matilda Torres Toros closed out the game by scoring the next 27 points to improve to 2-0 in the North Yosemite League.
Quarterback Jose Soriano threw for three touchdowns, two to Demetrio Nila, and the Toros scored touchdowns on their last six drives Thursday night at McLane Stadium.
“We just kept to our game plan,” head coach Joseph Marquez said. “The second half was all us.”
