Rabobank of Fresno has donated $5,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley’s “Adopt-a-Room” program, which provides a place to stay to families during their sick child’s hospital treatment.
The funds will cover year-long accommodations and new furnishings for one of the 18 rooms at the Ronald McDonald House Charities at 9161 Randall Way in Madera. In addition to this contribution, the bank recently provided lunch for all the families staying in the house.
Several bank employees delivered the donation in person to the charity on Aug.17. Samone Shafer, business banking officer for Rabobank, was among those who attended.
“Having a child in the hospital is overwhelming for the entire family” Shafer said. “We’re honored to support the Ronald McDonald House, and appreciate all the work it does to provide families with a home away from home during their child’s treatment.”
