Local students graduated Fresno Pacific University
Fifteen Maderans were among 476 graduates at Fresno Pacific University’s spring commencement in the Selland Arena in downtown Fresno.
Madera’s FPU graduates were Angel De Leon, Erin Fahrney, Ismael Guzman-Berdejo, Hannah Little, Glady’s Perez, Ana Rosales, Ana Walker, Ali Gallegos, Marita Contreras, Xochitl Garcia, Cassy Joaquin, Jordyn Leasure, Bernadette Rodarte, Nancy Jordan, and Danneal Richards.
De Leon received a B.A. in Social Work. Fahrney received a B.A. in Liberal Arts. Berdejo received a B.A. in Criminal Justice Major. Little received a B.A. in Liberal Studies. Perez received a B.A. in Biology. Rosales received a B.A. in Organizational Leadership. Walker received a B.A. in Pre-Health Sciences. Gallegos received a B.S. in Chemistry. Contreras received a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Garcia received a M.A. in School Psychology. Joaquin received a M.A. Marriage and Family Therapy. Leasure received a M.A. in Individualized: Development and Education Disabilities. Rodarte received a M.A. in School Psychology. Jordan received a M.S. in Nursing. Richards received a M.S. in Nursing. Little graduated Magna Cum Laude (high honors). Fahrney graduated Summa Cum Laude (highest honors).
The ceremony honored 201 graduates of the traditional bachelor’s degree program, 130 from the bachelor’s degree completion program and 127 master’s candidates (including 18 from Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary). The commencement address was by U.S. Senate Chaplain Barry C. Black.
