Kevin Osuna Senior Forward Madera South
Osuna claims the MVP honors for the 2017 season for his scintillating form, which culminated in the championship game appearance. Osuna tallied 13 goals and 7 assists in 20 games including two game-winning goals. Whether it was setting up his teammates or taking on multiple defenders by himself, Osuna proved to be a reliable forward throughout the season. Miguel Barraza Junior Forward Madera South
The junior played in a team-high 19 games and tallied the second highest goal total on the team with nine along with four assists earning a first team spot on the All-CMAC team. His creativity and confidence on the ball not only allowed him to score and get up the pitch but allowed his strike partner Osuna to dominate up front. Raul Rivera Senior Forward Madera
The upperclassmen showed his leadership and quality throughout a season full of ups and downs. Rivera was the focal point of the Coyotes attack throughout the season whether it was grabbing a goal or setting up a teammate. Rivera’s presence on the pitch was always felt with his darting runs down the pitch along with his smooth touch on the ball. His top form earned him a spot on the ALL-CMAC list as a first teamer. Christian Garcia Sophomore Midfield Madera South
The sophomore was an important player all season. Garcia found the back of the net seven times and assisted on six others in 17 games leading to his selection to the second team on the All-CMAC list. Garcia’s powerful presence on the pitch was no doubt an integral part in the Stallions championship game run. Josue Ramirez Senior Midfield Madera South
The senior started 18 games for the Stallions and chipped in three goals. Ramirez’s ability to move the ball with ease allowed his teammates to move throughout the pitch. His clever passing and vision earn him a spot on the All-Madera team and also honorable mention on the All-CMAC list. Juan ‘Johnny’ Rodriguez, Antonio Hernandez and Heriberto Martinez Seniors Midfielders Madera
Madera’s midfield trio formed a partnership that the team benefited from all season. Whether it was defending as a team or attacking as a team, Rodriguez, Hernandez and Martinez proved to be a successful backbone to the Coyotes. Combined, the three Coyotes earned spots on the All-CMAC teams — Rodriguez on the second team while Hernandez and Martinez earned an honorable mention. Being all seniors, the trio relied on their maturity on the pitch, which allowed their teammates to feed off them. Steven Arvizu Junior Midfielder Madera South
Leonel Arvizu Senior Midfield Madera South
The Arvizu brothers proved to be a formidable partnership. The brothers earned honorable mentions on the All-CMAC team. Their defensive instincts helped Madera South exceed expectations in the post season leading them to an appearance in the section championships. Although the older Arvizu brother is leaving, his younger brother has the experience and skill to keep up the high level of play. Alexander Castro Junior Defender Madera South

Gabino Diaz Senior Defender Madera South
The Madera South boys soccer team not only won the CMAC but made it all the way to the section championship match. The team was lead by a potent offense but defensively, the Stallions were in top form. Castro, Avila and Diaz combined for over 50 appearances and three goals as they formed a cohesive group that defended strong and smartly. Diaz was the rock earning himself a first team spot on the All-CMAC team, while Avila and Castro were honorable mentions as underclassmen. Seth Valencia Junior Defender Madera
Valencia contributed greatly to the Coyotes defensive efforts all season. His ability to defend expertly when his team needed him and his calmness on the ball were factors in his great season for the Coyotes. Valencia ended the season as a second team member on the ALL-CMAC team. Mark Davila Senior Goalkeeper Madera South
Davila helped lead his team to the section championship game behind numerous saves. Davila also distributed the ball smoothly from the back allowing his teammates execute counterattacks. He was named the CMAC Goalkeeper of the Year.
