Mushball tournament Sunday to help shooting victim’s family
The family and friends of the late shooting victim Zack Randalls will celebrate his life and raise money to help his family.
On Sunday, 22 teams will compete in a mushball tournament 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Madera South High School. Admission is free.
Randalls, a PG&E employee, was shot in Fresno by an assassin roaming the streets on April 18. He later succumbed to gunshot injuries at Community Regional Medical Center.
His wife, Katie Randalls, teaches fifth grade at Millview Elementary School in Madera. All proceeds will go to her and her children Dutch, 4, and Stella, 3.
Raffles and silent auction items will be featured with prize baskets featuring Los Angeles Dodger merchandise, Randalls’ favorite team.
“The Dodgers’ organization has been very generous with game tickets and merchandise for the project,” said Ashley Graham one of the event organizers.
They expect to offer about 20 gift baskets, she said.
