Madera’s NutraBlend plant hit a historic milestone and the plant’s management team put on a luncheon to thank their employees for reaching 1 million hours with no time lost to injuries.
As of Jan. 31, the Nutra Blend West team logged 1,036,825 hours with no lost time. This accomplishment was achieved by 100 employees over a span of 6 years.
“I am very proud of all our employees. This success was possible due to the dedication and passion of many individuals who demonstrated through their actions that safety is our primary responsibility,” said John Silva, plant manager of NutraBlend.
City, county and officials from NutraBlend's home office also attended the luncheon to congratulate the team for its accomplishment. NutraBlend (formerly Thomas Products Inc.) is a manufacture of livestock feed and a division of Land O’ Lakes Purina Feed. The Madera plant opened in 1990 and stocks over 1,000 microingredients, manufactures custom premixes and operates distribution channels to customers west of the Rockies.
