Trees for Charity gears up for dinner

Auction set for weekend The annual Trees for Charity dinner, auction and raffle will be held Saturday to raise money for Madera charities.

The event, sponsored by Madera Sunrise Rotary, will begin in Hatfield Hall on the Madera District Fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m. for a no-host cocktail hour, and dinner will be served at 6:30. Guests will have choice of filet mignon, salmon, or a vegetarian meal.

Fifteen trees decorated by various nonprofit organizations will be auctioned off live, the proceeds going to charities. All proceeds from the dinner and raffle will go to various charities conducted by Sunrise Rotary.

The cost of admission is set at $50.
