Player of the game: Sanger’s Jalen Cropper left Madera South far behind with an impressive running and catching game that resulted in accounting for 107 total yards. His most impressive play was a 52-yard touchdown run at the start of the third quarter, indicating a continued dominance for Sanger in the second half.
Unsung hero of the game: Despite a hard game, Maurice McClain played well, getting an interception in the first half when Sanger was deep in Madera South’s territory. He also scored Madera South’s only rushing touchdown with a nine-yard run.
Play of the game: Jalen Cropper’s 52-yard touchdown run at the start of the second half was not only the biggest play of the game for either team, but also a sign that Sanger would not slow down after halftime. The lead would only widen for the Apaches.
