Inside the Game: Fresno Warriors 34, Madera South 13

Player of the game: Isaiah Castaneda is this week’s player of the game after a fantastic performance against the Fresno High Warriors. Castaneda starred on defense collecting a handful of tackles to go along with three sacks, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt.

Unsung player of the game: Coach Matt Johnson’s spirit and determination was on display after he tried to get the home crowd into the game. Although the Stallions are in a slump, Johnson’s positivity and spirit will surely lead to something special for the Stallions. Johnson’s willingness to cheer the support after the game showed his appreciation for the Stallion faithful.

Play of the game: Matt Manoz scooped up a fumble and took it all the way to the house. In total, Manoz ran 65 yards for the score, giving his team the lead and also the momentum. Manoz’s vision down the sideline was key after he sidestepped defenders all the way to pay dirt.

Drive of the game: The Stallions drive of the game came on defense. After trading scores, the Stallions retook the field looking to make a statement. After a first-down sack by Isaiah Castaneda in the third quarter, the Stallions defense hung in there and made an incredible play. Matt Munoz picked up a loose ball lost by the Warriors quarterback and took it 65 yards for the score. Huge momentum swing to take back the lead.
