Stallions’ Lorta hits 1K point milestone
The Matilda Torres Toros girls basketball team withstood a turnover barrage in the final two minutes to hold off the Madera South Stallions for a North Yosemite League win Monday.
The Toros committed six turnovers in the final two minutes, and only took one shot while nursing a 15-point lead.
The Stallions tried to take advantage with 13 straight points to cut the lead to six, but missed their final four shots in the 40-34 loss at Madera South.
