Toros advance to soccer finals

With a pair of second half goals, the Matilda Torres Toros girls soccer team advanced to the program’s second Central Section Championship match after a 2-0 victory over No. 4 Santa Ynez.

The top-seeded Toros got goals from Elihanna Gallegos and Cindy Garcia on Thursday evening to advance to the Div. III Championship match against No. 3 Kerman that was played Tuesday in Toro Stadium. 

The game is a rematch of last year’s Div. III semifinal match that Kerman won in penalty kicks.
