The comforts of pudding

Bread pudding can be embellished with ice cream, whipped cream, fruit or various dessert sauces, or enjoyed plain.
Most of us have grown up with various forms of pudding, usually the dessert type. One version is perhaps the most popular: the one that makes use of bananas and vanilla wafers, along with either a vanilla- or banana-flavored pudding, constructed in layers.
It was (still is) one of my favorites, along with my mom’s version of bread pudding. My mom’s bread pudding never lasted very long at our house, as everyone craved it. I do appreciate boxes of instant pudding, but I believe the cooked kind has a better texture. And pudding made entirely from scratch just can’t be beat.
But this is all opinion, of course, and we are free to make and enjoy whatever type of pudding we prefer. We can even avoid it, as I know a few folks who can’t stand the stuff (ahh, more for the rest of us).
