The blame game is a flame game

There are a few rules that were standard in our family as I was growing up. They were rules of obedience, rules of respect, and rules of good behavior. We were taught never to say “shut up,” never to call someone stupid, and never to call a person a liar.


I wonder what happened to those rules in our society. Did other families learn these same rules? I know at least some of them did.


I didn’t grow up in California, but I know folks, even here in California, nearly 3,000 miles from where I was raised, who learned these rules. These are basic “get along with others” rules.
