Madera South pitcher Victor Palomino places the tag on a Hoover runner trying to get back to first base after a fourth inning single in their loss.
After a sloppy game in a wet conditions the last time out for the Madera South Stallions baseball team, there was only one way to go from there — up.
Although the Stallions couldn’t come up with the victory in a 5-1 loss to the Hoover Patriots, head coach Alan Sandoval said Wednesday’s loss was a lot easier to accept than Friday’s loss to Sanger West.
“I thought our defense was outstanding today. We played pretty well, but we were just a couple of hits away,” Sandoval said.
