Opportunities lift Coyotes

Madera’s Jaydian Chavira throws one of his 82 pitches during a Tuesday shut out of the Madera South Stallions. He struck out 11 and scattered six hits in a 10-0 victory at Eddie Chapa Field. 

 

The Madera Coyotes baseball team took advantage of the additional opportunities Madera South gave them for a 10-0 victory at Eddie Chapa Field. 


The Coyotes outhit the Stallions 12-6, but it was the seven Stallions’ errors that helped the Coyotes. 


Madera’s Jaydian Chavira was masterful on the mound. Although he allowed six hits, he struck out 11 and didn’t walk a batter. He threw just 82 pitches in his shutout.
