Madera High School Senior Gurleen Dhaliwal presented her Graduate Profile Senior Showcase to a panel of teachers, district staff, and community members on March 24. The district-wide initiative is a framework designed to ensure that every student graduates with the essential skills and competencies needed to thrive in college, career, and life.
For students in Madera Unified School District, graduating high school now requires more than maintaining grades and staying in good standing.
With the introduction of the Graduate Profile, students must demonstrate essential skills that prepare them for life after high school, whether they’re headed to college or entering the workforce.
The Graduate Profile focuses on teaching students six key competencies: Think, Adapt, Communicate, Collaborate, Produce, and Contribute.
