Madera County Search and Rescue volunteers help a woman that may have broken her leg while on the Lewis Creek trail.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Communications Center received an emergency call reporting an unresponsive female in the water near Angel Falls just before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
MCSO Search and Rescue (SAR) teams, along with USFS, Madera County Fire & CAL Fire, Sierra Ambulance, and the CHP H-40 helicopter responded to the area.
During the operation, SAR deputies located items which led them to believe an adult male may also be missing. Search efforts to confirm and locate him were then initiated.
