MPD stop finds firearms

During a traffic stop Sunday afternoon, Madera Police officers found drugs and firearms.

Madera PD conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle being driven by Rick Gallegos. During the vehicle stop, Gallegos was asked to exit the vehicle and when his door was opened MPD saw a firearm.

Gallegos was placed under arrest and a search of his vehicle revealed evidence that he was selling concentrated cannabis. He is restricted from owning or possessing any firearms.
