MPD makes arrest

Madera Police Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Schnoor Ave. regarding a traffic collision.

Upon arrival Saturday evening, the officer located a single vehicle collision that nearly caused the vehicle to be overturned.

The driver, 35-year-old Thomas Bangoura, was found uninjured, but heavily intoxicated. Thomas provided a breath sample that was over three times the legal blood alcohol content limit (.08). He was ultimately arrested and booked for DUI.

This collision had real potential to be life threatening to the driver.
