Madera’s Michael Pedro picks off a Kerman pass in the second quarter Friday that set up a touchdown in Friday’s loss to Kerman.
From the start, things looked bright for the Madera Coyotes football team in its non-conference home game against the Kerman Lions.
The Coyotes marched the ball inside the Kerman six yard line. However, what happened may have been a pre-cursor of what was to come in the following two hours Friday night in Memorial stadium.
The Coyotes turned the ball over on downs at the Kerman six-yard line. The Coyotes later fumbled inside Kerman territory, turned the ball over on downs on the Kerman 25 and threw a pick-6 in a 28-22 loss to give Madera its first blemish of the season.
