The Madera County Sheriff’s Office hosted a Swearing-In and Promotion ceremony to honor 17 promoted or new deputies to the department at Matilda Torres High School.

Before a full house on Tuesday, Sheriff Tyson Pogue honored the recipients.

“One of the most meaningful parts of this ceremony is seeing the families who have joined us today,” Pogue said. “The pride and joy on your faces remind us of the true purpose of our service. You show us why we do this work and who we do it for. It is a privilege to share in your celebration of these well-earned accomplishments, and your presence speaks volumes about the love and encouragement you provide.”
