Madera South alumni Jaydah Aguilar earned a Cal-Pac Conference championship and helped the UC Merced women’s track and field team to the conference title.

The UC Merced men’s and women’s track and field team, who is in its first year of competition, swept the Cal Pac title with 10 gold medals, eight silver medals and two bronze medals.

Former Madera Coyote Vincente Velarde, who is the UC Merced head coach, was named the Cal Pac men’s and women’s Coach of the Year. Velarde is also the men’s and women’s cross country coach for the Bobcats.
