MADD honors MPD officers

Madera Police Department’s Officer Jose Barajas and Officer Fidel Amezola were honored at the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) awards banquet last week for their outstanding efforts in DUI enforcement. 

Drunk driving is one of the most dangerous and preventable threats to public safety. Each impaired driver taken off the road represents a tragedy that was prevented, a life potentially saved, a family spared unimaginable loss.

Officer Barajas and Officer Amezola’s work has undoubtedly made the streets of Madera safer, and this recognition is well deserved.
