Madera Police Department officers responded to Madera High School regarding a student with a weapon Wednesday morning.
MPD officers determined no weapon was possessed by the student, and are currently interviewing involved persons.
“On October 1, Madera High School was placed on a temporary internal lockdown due to a report of a possible threat,” said Madera Unified School District in a statement. “We immediately investigated. Our law enforcement partners helped us respond and ensured the safety of all students and staff. At no point was there a threat to our students or staff. Our priority is always the well-being and safety of our school community.”
