Liberty walks off win over Righetti

The Liberty Hawks baseball team was trying to find its offense all game long, but it came through in the bottom of the ninth inning to allow the Hawks to walk off a win over Righetti-Santa Maria.


The Hawks was held to just two hits over the first eight innings, but banged out a pair of hits in the bottom of the ninth for their second walk-off victory of the season Tuesday at Liberty in the Central Baseball Tournament.


Matthew Prado picked up the victory after a scoreless ninth inning. Nate Medina got the start and allowed an unearned run over the first three innings. Daniel Sandante allowed a run over two innings. Hudson Groh struck out four in three scoreless innings.
