Letters: Loyalty to the Constitution

As an American, I often pledge my allegiance to the good old United States of America, as every American should. I firmly believe we are a nation of morals, a nation of laws and a Christian nation. However there is a number of far left radicals that are trying to make some very big changes to our country that will alter our lives.

I know there are many members of the Democrat party that are very loyal to the U.S. and the Constitution and don’t like the direction that this group of people is taking us. Many of the Democrats are really good people, and I consider them to be friends and patriotic Americans. However, the party is being overrun with this radical ideology, and it gets the attention of the majority of the mainstream media. Thank you to The Madera Tribune for not giving them notoriety.

One thing they seem to support is their goal of transforming the U.S. into a socialist society, led by the outspoken AOC and Bernie Sanders. They supported the election of the new Seattle and New York City mayors, both of which are heavy socialists, and some say communists. I know the policies of the NYC mayor, after a month, are already having a negative effect on the city. Check with Venezuela to see what socialism can do to a country.
