Letters: By definition, fraud — intentional perversion of the truth

As a critic of High-Speed Rail myself, I really appreciate Jim Glynn’s Opinion pieces; July 12 and August 30 in our Tribune. It is more than obvious that HSR is breathing its last breaths and is on life support. The life support dollars that our Governor has used to continue this fraud are running out and these dollars are putting our state into even deeper debt.
As of September 22, the California’s State Debt Clock shows $611 billion. If we were a company, we would be in bankruptcy.
HSR cannot happen with four Valley stations less than 25 miles apart. Stations need to be 75 to 120 miles apart. And the costs for the four stations are scheduled to be more than $400 million.
